Embedded Software Engineer

Melexis is looking for a motivated individual to fullfil the role of Embedded Software Engineer in our Software Competence Center department.

Function:
• You will design and develop software products, software components and applications to be embedded in Melexis products for Actuators, Sensors and Opto application domains as member of the Software Competence Center.
• You will adopt the systems engineering methodology, systems and software development processes.

Profile:
• You have a deep knowledge of C/C++, Assembler, optionally Matlab/Simulink, Java and script languages and 3+ years experience in writing embedded software (real-time and interrupt-driven applications, experience with multi-threaded software is desirable).
• As Software Engineer you have the ability to develop structured, well-documented code (experience in writing safe and reliable software targeted for safety-critical systems is a plus). You have good documentation skills: ability to read and interpret higher level requirements, specifications, design and implementation documents.
• You have good debugging and validation skills. You have knowledge of version control, configuration management, software build and test tools. You have skills to create desktop based tools and test harnesses.
• You have a University degree (engineering, mathematics or similar) and you have knowledge on microelectronics. You have Knowledge and experience of embedded software and a very good knowledge in English
